Best time to schedule a photo session-Eberle Sneak Peek

What time of day is best to schedule a session? Now that it is getting almost time for outdoor sessions, time will make all the differnece in your session. During the cold months when inside of a studio lighting can be adjusted to different times during daylight hours. Outdoor sessions I prefer to do early-mid morning hours or late evening.

Middle of the day is the worst lighting time. It is possible to make it work as long as you find some shade. The picture to the right of the little girl on the swing was middle of the day. Made it work by finding shade. Another way I can make it work in full sun is to turn the subject from the sun without shadowing their face. Not a easy task but it is doable. Below picture on the canoes, at one of my favorite locations Mt. Saint Frances, is in full sun but the face is not shadowed much. Next photo in the grey chair was able to turn her back to the sun.

Late evening hours are considered the "Golden Hour" for photographers. You get the beautiful golden hues to your photos. For example this engagement session at Black Acre Farm in Louisville. Good placement of subjects and camera creates a beautiful image! My favorite time of day to shoot. With kids I understand we have to shoot around naps but we can make it work!

Now for the sneak peek of the day!! This gorgeous little blue eyed girl came into my studio with a huge smile on her face. I am not sure if you can get any cuter than this!! I always encourage parents to get in the photo. You don't want to miss this time in your life. You will want to look back at this stage. Some parents do not like to get in the photo because they do not like photographs of themselves. If anything do it for your kids and you do not have to post it all over social media. I try to capture myself with my kids as much as I can. Time flies by so let me help you capture those moments.
